Is wheat as harmful as rice in order to manage diabetes?
Hello Madhav firstly neither rice nor roti are bad for management of diabetes. What makes a difference is what you will eat with your roti or rice. So make sure to take a serving of protein (dal/curd/egg/chicken/fish/pulses), a serving of cooked vegetables and a serving of salad with it! This will make your plate complete and will not have any negative impact on your blood sugar levels.
Definitely agreeing with Dr. Sakina. And adding on, Madhav make sure to keep active and on the days off make sure to take 45 minutes of walk. Have balanced and small meals. And definitely listen to your nutritionist. And lots of vegetables to your meals.
