Back bend improves spinal mobility, as much of the day you are likely to be sitting or slouching and bending your spine forward. By doing a backbend, you are flexing it in the opposite direction and it may help you develop better posture. Most of you practice child's pose after a backbend do you know why? A counterpose in yoga is a posture that helps neutralize the body after performing a particular pose. Its purpose is to restore balance in the body, especially in the spine and pelvis this is why it is important to practice child's pose or any other forward fold after a deep back bend. @Abhilasha thank you for tagging
