The answer can be either Yes or No, depending on the state of your gut health. Let's see the benefits of cooking vegetables like- cabbage, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower etc :- 📍These vegetables contain sugars (raffinose) that are hard to digest for some folks. Cooking helps make these sugars easily digestible. 📍They also contain sulfur containing compounds(glucosinolates) which are responsible for the pungent aroma & flavour when eaten raw. Cooking/blanching helps in removing these compounds. 📍They have high content of insoluble fibre, cooking also helps in breaking them down. 📍Cooking these vegetables also releases Indole, which is an organic precancerous cell fighter. 💡Now what are the ways you can cook your Cruciferous Vegetables ? Try roasting, steaming, stir-frying or adding in curries/soups/rice/noodles/salads. 📍However some folks can eat them raw without any difficulty. So if you're not having any gut issues after consuming them raw, go for it!
