If you are doing a prolonged sitting, know how it impacts Poor posture: Slouching for long periods can lead to poor posture, which can cause strain on the spine, leading to back pain. Muscular Imbalances: Sitting in the same position for long hours can cause muscular imbalances, especially in the neck, shoulder, and back muscles. This can cause pain and discomfort in these areas. Reduced Spinal Mobility: Sitting for long hours can cause reduced spinal mobility, leading to stiff and inflexible spine. This can increase the risk of injury and lower back pain. Disc Damage: Sitting for long hours can cause compression of the intervertebral discs in the spine, which can lead to disc damage and herniation. Increased Risk of Chronic Diseases: Sitting for long hours has been linked to an increased risk of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Poor Circulation: Sitting for long periods can cause poor circulation, swelling and discomfort in the legs and feet.
