Joints and Acute Injuries- part 2

I was late for a workout session recently, started off without doing any mobility drill and got a strain on Achilles tendon, which later turned into an inflammation around the ankle. I'm sure many of us have experienced an ankle/knee twist in some unexpected situations. Also, if there had been a major injury in the past, chances of it leading into a "weak spot" are high. For me, it's my ankle. From my experiences the most commonly recommended *first aid* (sometimes even a continued treatment) for acute injuries is- R - Rest I - Ice C - Compression E - Elevation Remember to always consult a doctor after a joint injury. You don't want it turn into a weak spot, so taking immediate necessary actions are very important.
