Morning Sickness

Unable to sleep properly since a couple of days & morning sickness has aggravated. Are these 2 related? Would love to hear suggestions to sleep well and manage morning sickness🥹

Hi Snigdha, Yes, studies have shown a correlation between morning sickness and sleep quality. Try to do practices like deep belly breathing, bhramari (humming bee breathwork), alternate nostril breathing to improve your sleep quality. These breathwork along with mild yoga practice should help reduce the morning sickness as well.

Hey Snigdha. Yes, as Sindhu has rightly mentioned, the two are correlated. There are several changes occurring during this phase of your life & so the little disturbance. But, trust me, this will pass soon & you will surely feel better & enjoy this mystical journey. However, while the two concerns persist, try the following... 1. Take timely meals.... even if they are small & frequent since you are experiencing the morning sickness 2. Do not stay empty stomach for very long after waking up - this may only aggrevate the discomfort. Try taking a piece of fresh coconut or few soaked almonds or raisins...whichever makes you feel better 3. For ensuring better sleep, try completing your dinner at least 2.5 hours prior to bedtime. Take a warm cup of milk & 5 unsalted pistas half an hour before bedtime. Pistas contain melatonin, which induce sleep..... Listen to some calming music or even the sleep stories on the Shyft app which may be very helpful. 😊 Take care 🙂
