Whole fruits are generally considered healthier than fruit juice because they contain more fiber and fewer calories and sugar per serving. Fiber is an important nutrient that helps regulate digestion, promotes feelings of fullness, and can help lower cholesterol levels. Additionally, when you eat a whole fruit, you consume all of the nutrients contained in the fruit, including vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. In contrast, many fruit juices are high in added sugars, which can contribute to weight gain and other health problems, especially when consumed in excess. Even 100% fruit juice, which does not have added sugars, can be high in natural sugars and calories. Moreover, fruit juice lacks the fiber that is present in whole fruits, which means it may not be as filling and may cause a quicker rise in blood sugar levels. But if you still want choose 100% fruit juice, without added sugars or preservatives, and to limit to 1 cup for a day.
