Is it okay to skip meals?
Hi Ankush, even though I'll need more info on your current health & lifestyle status here; but skipping meals definitely isn't a good choice. Especially if you're trying to lose weight. In the short term you'll be missing all the vital nutrients that your body needs & in the long term your body's metabolism will be affected, causing more fat gain, muscle loss & energy loss. Portion control is definitely the key here.
How about intermittent fasting. Lots of people are talking about it
Intermittent fasting is helpful Sumanta but we mostly recommend this at the end of a weight loss journey, when all other means are done. It helps to give a push to the body's metabolism to reduce the remaining stored fat from the body. But in the long term it can cause your body's metabolism to be hampered & it can become resistant to any further weight loss.Also IF isn't advisable for some health conditions. So before starting such practices do discuss with an expert.
