Snacking while dieting
Is it ok to have low fat or fat- free packaged snacks while being on diet?
No, many processed low fat or fat-free foods have just as many as calories or even more calories than the full fat versions. These foods may contain added flour, salt, starch or sugar to improve flavour and texture after fat is removed. These items end up adding more calories than regular alternatives made fresh at home.
