Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, also known as upward-facing dog pose, is a foundational backbend posture commonly practiced in yoga. It strengthens the arms, shoulders, and back muscles while stretching the chest and abdomen. Keeping your whole body active is important in the posture. In the posture for several breaths allows the inhaling action to Deep in the extension in the thoracic spine, whereas the exhaling action can resist in stabilizing the lumbar and the cervical curves.
