Avoiding carbs

Carbs are fattening, I am totally avoiding them because i want to lose weight. Is that okay?

No, carbohydrates are the body's main source of fuel for energy, you don't have to limit all carbs to lose weight, include complex carbohydrates like fruits, whole grains, vegetables etc. as they provide a healthy supply of fiber, minerals and vitamins.
