1) Always have breakfast. Starting your day off with a healthy, filling breakfast will help jumpstart your metabolism, give you sustained energy for the activities to come, and help control your appetite over the next few hours. Moreover most of us like to splurge on lunch or dinner, so having a healthy breakfast will help minimize the damage to come later in the day. 2) Water is your best friend. Keep all the systems going by drinking your daily water requirement. Traveling can dehydrate you, and so can being out in the sun more than your body is used to. If you can, stock your car, backpack with bottle of water. 3) Sip smarter. Alcohol is the biggest diet derailer. Instead of Pina coladas and mojitos which are loaded with sugar, opt for wine, Champagne etc. Have a glass of water, in between every cocktail. 4) Try to get at least one serving of greens a day and choose the veggie-heavy options (like salads) whenever possible.
