Dragon fruit
Got to know Dragon fruit is good to manage diabetes. But it is not native. Is it still OK to have it?
Hi Madhav! You've heard right... Dragon fruit does have some anti-diabetic effects, especially because it's low sugar & filled with antioxidants. It also helps with insulin resistance. Now they're not native, there's a chance they're being delivered from far, so some preservatives can be present & some nutrients can be lost here & there. But nowadays dragon fruits are produced in India as well. So on the bottom line, you can have dragon fruits but prefer other locally available fruits more.
