Diet in pregnancy....

Eating a nutritious diet during pregnancy is related to good brain development, healthy birth weight & can reduce the risk of many birth defects Apart from the macro nutrient( carbohydrate, protein, fat) requirement increase, there is an increased need of micronutrients like calcium, folate & iron too.

What foods are safe to include to improve calcium and iron if one is detected with deficiencies of the same during pregnancy?

Hi Sindhu, Foods rich in iron are spinach, methi, beetroot, lotus stem, chicken( if you are a non vegetarian) And Foods rich in calcium are curd, sunflower seeds, makhanas, paneer All of the above food items can be consumed safely during pregnancy
