Trivikramasana : One of my favourite hip opening pose. It stretches and strenthens the hamstrings, pelvic floor muscles, glutus maximus and groin muscles. These when stretched help to strengthen the hips, the pelvis and the hip girdle The deeper stretching of the core muscles along with the shoulders and arms, encourages better functioning of the abdominal organs improving in digestion. It keeps the prostate gland active. The use of the chest and the diaphragm helps with deeper breathing, encouraging full breath into the lungs. Thus, when done with awareness, this pose stimulate, and keeps the organs active.
