Refer to the image below. You will understand the correct alignment and muscle engagement of triangle pose using a long stick rested behind the shoulders. Make sure you are not pushing the hips back. Additionally you can also stand against a wall where your shoulders should not move away from the wall, keep your hips,inner thighs and lower back engaged. Practice this simple technique to feel the difference and post your picture practicing the same here.
