Ghoogri- Sunday special straight from Nani's cook book

This brings me a sense of nostalgia and comfort. Ghoogri ,a northern India dish, is what my nani used to cook all the time since it was everyone's favourite. A right blend protein and carbs made with greenpeas and potato. In this day & age, where most of our breakfast comes from a packet to the plate, it's essential to keep yourself close to the roots. Something that you cook with your family, making it a sunday ritual and habit. Something that your children can remember when they are away from home. What's your comfort sunday food ? A traditional recipe close to your heart and nutritious at the same time? @Swinka @Amrita s Bajaj @Tanya Singh @Jyotsana Khanna Biyani @Dr Shweta Rao @Rajan @Nitisha Rajpal @Deena Kamath @Smruthi settlur @Abhilasha @Abhilasha Sharma @Pritika Kamal

@kavita palod It's yummy indeed! Here is the recipe - Boiled potatoes, Fresh green peas, green chillies, jeera, salt & ghee In a pan, add 1tablespoon of ghee and once heated add jeera and chopped green chillies. Then add green peas, cook with closed lid to the pan. Once done, add roughly chopped boiled potatoes & salt as per taste. Cook for a couple of minutes and you are ready to serve!
