This could be happening because your sleep cycles are disturbed, which can be due to multiple factors, like : 😶🌫️High stress levels; which can increase your heart rate & BP causing you to jolt awake 😶🌫️Low sugar levels & hunger pangs 😶🌫️Insomnia or obstructive sleep apnea can be another reason 😶🌫️Medications that affect your sleep cycle 😶🌫️Gastric issues especially conditions like GERD 😶🌫️Joint/muscle pain 😶🌫️Hot flashes due to changes in hormones 😶🌫️Eating heavy/spicy food or drinking coffee/tea or alcohol close to bed time 😶🌫️Exercising/smoking too hard close to your bed time 😶🌫️Drinking too much water before bed & needing to pee 😶🌫️Using electronic gadgets close to bed time 😶🌫️Feeling down or depressed or having PTSD episodes or nightmares 😶🌫️Too much noise or light ✨ Bottommline - if the nighttime awakening is unusual & you fall back asleep soon after waking up it's good news, but if not try consulting with an expert.
