There are two groups of vitamins 1. Fat soluble - The fat-soluble vitamins include Vitamins A, D, E, and K. The body stores fat-soluble vitamins in fatty tissue, and they’re absorbed more easily in the presence of dietary fat. 2. Water soluble - The nine water-soluble vitamins include the Vitamin B “family” and Vitamin C, and each of these water-soluble vitamins functions in a different way. Because the body does not store water-soluble vitamins, any “leftovers” leave the body through the urine. These need to be consumed from outside sources also. Both categories are equally important as the absorption of vitamins is dependent on one another. So if, the body is deficient in one, it will affect the overall functioning.
