Winding Down: The Key to Healthy, Natural Sleep Wind down time helps your mind and body prepare for a restful night and gives you the best possible chance of sleeping soundly until morning. Ideally, your wind-down time should begin 1-2 hours before you plan to fall asleep. Some tips to help you establish a wind-down routine that will work for you and hopefully help you sleep better: 1. Cut your screen time ( mobile phones, laptops) at least 30 minutes before bed. 2. Read a book 3. Listen to sleep hypnosis audio recordings ( available in Shyft app) 4. Listen to some soothing music 5. Try stretching or light yoga.
