Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the band of the tissue in the foot that supports your arch & connects to your heel. Rolling a tennis ball under the foot helps to relax and relieve aches & pains in the muscles & fascia of the foot& whole back. The fascial body is a web of connective tissue, a release of tension in one part can trigger release in the entire web. This practice provides a general surface area for releasing tension in feet, the ball movement under the feet allows the superficial muscles of the feet to relax & repetition of this movement gradually reveal sites of deeper muscle & ligament layers of the foot. This exercise helps to improve hamstrings flexibility & even back ache, as you start loosening the starting point of the network of connective tissues that runs all the way up to the back body to the crown of the head, it soothes the fascia and release the pain. So try this if you're experiencing the heel pain!
