apple zarda rice
A popular North Indian rich delicacy known for it's royal flavors and taste. A generous amount of ghee, sugar, saffron, apple and nuts makes the dish aromatic and delicious for any occasion.

2 chopped tsp almond
1 bay leaf
1 chopped tsp cashewnut
5 raisins
2 tbsp rice
1/4 grated cup apple
1/8 cup milk
2 tsp ghee
5 strands kesar
1 green elaichi
40 ml water (to cook the rice)
Heat the ghee in a pan
To that add 1 bay leaf, elaichi, raisins, chopped almond, chopped cashew, and grated apple, and sautee for 3-4 minutes
Then add kesar & milk and allow it to simmer for another 3-4 minutes
Bring it to a slight boil, then add cooked rice and mix well
