salt to taste
1 cup sprouted moong
1/2 cup soaked poha
1 small piece of ginger
water as required
1/2 tsp jeera seeds
1 cup finely chopped vegetables like onion, carrot, fresh coriander
2 to 3 tsp oil
1-2 green chillies (optional)
2 tsp curd
For sprouted moong - Wash the moong. Soak for 3-4 hours. Remove the water. Leave them in a strainer. Cover with a plate. Keep it in a warm place like the microwave/ oven, leave overnight.
For the batter - Churn the sprouted moong, soaked poha, green chillies, ginger with water to form a smooth batter. Now add the vegetables, jeera seeds, salt & curd.
Make the appe in an appe maker, using few drops of oil each time. Serve hot.
