moong dal methi sabzi

9 Ingredients
salt to taste
2 cups methi leaves (finely chopped & washed thoroughly)
1/4 cup yellow moong dal
1/4 cup onion (finely chopped)
1 tsp garlic (finely chopped)
1 tsp green chillies (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp haldi powder
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp jeera seeds
Wash & soak the dal in enough water for 2 hours
Combine the soaked & drained moong dal and 5tbsps water in a deep pan, cover with a lid & cook on a medium flame for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally & keep aside
Heat the oil, and add the cumin seeds, when they crackle, add the onion, garlic, garlic & green chilli and saute for 1 minute
Add the methi leaves, turmeric powder, and salt & cook for 2 minutes
Now add the moong dal with another tbsp of water, mix well and cook on medium heat for another minute
